- ensures that the Committee’s deliberations/activities are effective and properly focused

- Consult with Northern Alberta University Coordinator and Chair on the items to be addressed at committee meetings
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and notices
- Track meeting attendance
- Record and distribute meeting minutes

Acts as a liaison between the Student Liaison Committee and Student Club Representatives.
Average Time Commitment
2-7 hours per month
Responsibilities
Provide support for Committee meetings by:
- Maintain and update a list of student club representatives
- Email representatives prior to SLC meeting to:
- Invite them to attend the event live
- If they are unable to attend, request a report about what their club is planning for events, and how APEGA can help
- Present reports at the SLC meetings
- Provide Club Representatives with upcoming SLC event information and request they share with their members.
- Attend SLC Committee meetings

Responsible for planning, creating, and following through on marketing strategies and materials for committee events.
Average Time Commitment
5-8 hours per month
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the marketing for committee events
- Create a marketing strategy in cooperation with Event Coordinator
- Set deadlines
- Create required materials
- Send all materials to APEGA staff for approval
- Arrange for printing and distribution of all materials
- Deliver 5-minute classroom presentations to promote event
- Promote events on social media and coordinate onsite social media presence at events
- Attend committee meetings

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Outgoing and friendly
- Basic graphic design skills
- Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

Organizes committee events, including booking venues, catering, and working with the volunteer and marketing coordinators to make each event a success.
Average Time Commitment
- 10-20 hours per month (August - November, January - March)
These hours are highest in August and January as we plan the term, but time commitment would start to decrease later in the term

- Work with Volunteer Coordinator to determine the positions that need to be filled
- Plan all details of event and set deadlines for completion of tasks
- Create and update event schedule
- Create catering budget and submit for approval

- Troubleshoot any problems that arise at events (no-shows, technical problems, etc.)

- Ability to book rooms on campus

Works with the Event Coordinator to recruit and manage volunteers for committee events.
Average Time Commitment
- 1-3 hours per month (July-August)
- 4-7 hours per month (September-November; January-March)
Responsibilities
- Attend monthly meetings
- Overall coordination of volunteers for events
- Schedule event assistants for various positions
(set-up, registration, clean-up, etc.) - Ensure volunteers are aware of their responsibilities
- Sign-in volunteers upon arrival and review duties
- Manage volunteers onsite (answering questions, troubleshooting)
