  • APEGA Registrar and CEO Appointed to Foreign Credential Advisory Committee

    On July 4, 2024, the Government of Alberta appointed 13 members to the newly established Foreign Credential Advisory Committee, including APEGA’s Registrar and CEO Jay Nagendran, P.Eng. This committee will provide recommendations to the GOA on how to improve foreign credential assessment and recognition for all regulated professions.

  • APEGA Legal Action Concludes, Key Clarifications on Title Protection Provided

  • Councillor Resignation and New Appointment

    Peter Timmins, P.Eng., has resigned from his position as APEGA councillor, effective June 21, 2024, for personal reasons. We extend our sincere gratitude to Peter for his contributions to APEGA. Council has appointed professional engineer William (Bill) King to fill the seat until the next Council election.

    APEGA Registrant and Permit Holder 2024 Dues Increase

    To ensure our regulatory oversight remains comprehensive so we can continue protecting Albertans from unethical and unlicensed practice, APEGA Council has made the difficult decision to increase registrant and permit holder dues for a second year, effective July 1, 2024.
