2025 APEGA Council Election Candidates Announced
The 2025 APEGA Council election is fast approaching—this is your opportunity to elect new councillors who will help guide the future direction of our organization. The strength of our professions depends on the collective wisdom and expertise of an elected council of engineers and geoscientists who are committed to providing visionary governance and safeguarding the public interest.
This year, there is one candidate for thepresident-elect position, and 11 candidates are seeking a three-year term on council.
Additional information about each candidate will be posted on apega.ca in advance of polls opening. To help eligible voters make an informed choice, each candidate will provide a statement, their answers to four questions, their résumé, and a short video introduction.
Election dates
Voting opens February 3 and closes March 6.
Eligible voters will receive a regulatory email with instructions on how to vote.
2025 president-elect
As only one application for president-elect was put forward, the position has been filled by acclamation. Dean Mullin, P.Eng., first elected to council in 2022, will serve as president-elect for the 2025/26 term and transition to president at the 2026 annual general meeting
Candidates for council
Eligible registrants will elect five councillors from the following 11 candidates. Four will serve a three-year term on council, and the fifth will serve a two-year term filling a vacancy after the 2024 election
All newly elected councillors will begin their terms on April 25, 2025, at the APEGA annual general meeting.

Terri Steeves, P.Eng., who was voted in as president-elect last year, will assume the presidency at the annual general meeting on April 25, 2025.
