APEGA announces the resignation of Peter Timmins, P.Eng., from his position as APEGA councillor, effective June 21, 2024, for personal reasons. We extend our sincere gratitude to Peter for his contributions to APEGA.

Section 27(1) of the General Regulation gives APEGA Council the authority to appoint a replacement when a vacancy occurs before a term is completed. Accordingly, effective June 26, 2024, APEGA Council has appointed professional engineer William (Bill) King to fill the seat until the next council election.

King, a retired professional engineer and APEGA life member, received the next highest number of votes in the last Council election after all Councillor roles were filled. He brings an extensive background in project management and leadership, with experience leading project teams in the oil and gas industry in Canada and internationally over his 46-year career.

APEGA welcomes him to Council and is confident that his expertise and experience will be an asset.
