APEGA Mentoring Café
Get ready to enhance your journey through engineering and geoscience. The APEGA Mentoring Café provides guidance and advice from expert professionals to members-in-training (M.I.T.s) enrolled in the Work Readiness Program and students enrolled in an engineering or geoscience program. This mentoring program offers personalized, 30-minute virtual meetings with industry professionals who are ready to offer guidance and advice on a variety of topics.
You can choose from over 80 passionate volunteers, each with expert knowledge and experience with the engineering and geoscience professions. This is a completely free service designed to help you access professional guidance when you need it.
Please Note: Mentoring Cafe will temporarily close on November 28, 2024 for the Holiday Season and will re-open on January 2, 2025.
For students and M.I.T.s, you can ask for advice on:
- technical competence
- digital literacy
- inclusive leadership
- project and financial management
- social, economic, environmental, and governance
- professional accountability
- professional success and career topics
For M.I.T.s working on their professional application, you can request:
- mentoring for your professional application
- guidance for navigating the application process
- assistance ensuring all necessary information is included and presented effectively
Please be advised that mentoring for professional applications may require a longer commitment between mentors and mentees (sometimes up to three months). Working with a mentor on your application can provide valuable guidance and support, but does not guarantee acceptance by APEGA or any other regulatory body with whom the final decision resides.
