Permit Holders Needed for Equity Survey
Information from permit holders is needed now for an APEGA initiative to help women succeed in the professional world. Engineering and geoscience companies with APEGA a Permit to Practice and at least 10 employees are invited to participate in When Women Thrive, a pay equity and advancement survey.
In 2018, APEGA received a three-year, $350,000 grant from Status of Women (now Women and Gender Equality) Canada. APEGA is using the grant to investigate and address the barriers women face in the engineering and geoscience professions.
In the grant's first phase, we conducted an online survey on diversity in the workplace that received almost 3,000 responses. Then we held in-person, virtual, and phone consultations with more than 300 APEGA members.
Now it's time to survey permit holders.
What Will the Survey Accomplish?
When Women Thrive will give us insight into the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in the professions.
If your organization is interested in participating, please email us at [email protected] We will provide you with a survey link.
Please note: although there are some similarities in places, this new survey is not the APEGA Salary Survey.
A summary of aggregate data from When Women Thrive will be released publicly. Participating companies can request a customized analysis of their data at a discounted rate.
