About the speaker Ellen Wald

Ellen Wald, PhD, is an experienced lecturer and former professor of history. She has a PhD in history from Boston University, where she studied business history and researched American and British oil companies in the Middle East. She is the author of the authoritative book on Aramco, Saudi, Inc.: The Arabian Kingdom's Pursuit of Profit and Power and a contributor to Bloomberg, the New York Times, and Barron's. She recently co-founded the energy advocacy firm Washington Ivy Advisors and continues to take on select clients through her consulting business, Transversal Consulting. She is a fellow at both the Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center and the Canadian Global Affairs Institute and the author of the SAGA Wisdom course: A Starter's Guide to ESG, Energy, and Climate.
