A cookbook on how to improve a bottom line in any organization is provided, starting with bottlenecks and Pareto analysis, and then moving to a brief description of the five major problem-solving strategies and their pros and cons (Six Sigma, Kepner Trego, Shainin, Statistical Engineering), and ending with The New Science of Fixing Things. The role of lean manufacturing in continuous improvement is also covered in this session. 

Participants will obtain an understanding of the fundamental processes needed to implement and maintain a continuous improvement culture essential to improving organizational performance.

About the speaker

Brian Fitzgerald, P.Eng., MBA, Brian Fitzgeraldholds a BAS in mechanical engineering and an MBA in accounting and finance. He has over 40 years of light manufacturing engineering and operations management experience in glass containers, castings, automotive OEM and Tier 1, aerospace, recycling, and most recently, rotating equipment manufacture and repair.
