Join us for a two-hour session examining best practices for managing risk and communicating effectively on challenged projects. Projects encounter challenges of all sorts, from poor planning and execution to external events outside everyone’s control. This course will look at the risks and strategies for balancing the preservation of working relationships, communicating necessary information, protecting the project, and maintaining your rights under the contract.

George AndersonAbout the speaker

George Anderson, P.Eng., PMP, FEC, founder and president of Anderson IRC Ltd., is an engineer and analyst with more than 30 years of experience in engineering, procurement, construction, construction dispute consulting, and litigation support. George primarily provides support for construction dispute resolution through the forensic analysis of projects and schedules. In this practice, he provides opinions on what went wrong on a project, and by how much. This experience provides him with a unique perspective into how communication and relationships impact the risk on projects, a subject he cares about deeply. George also seminars on this subject, project management, and project controls. As an APEGA member for 25 years and volunteer for 15, he has served APEGA's Calgary Branch, Nominations Committee, and for the last nine years, the Investigative Committee. This last role in particular has also informed his experience with disputes and their resolution.
