  • Many people in Alberta get their water from underground, usually by drilling a well into an aquifer. But what is an aquifer? And how does water move through the soil and rock beneath our feet? In this workshop, you'll make your own aquifer in a cup, pump your own well, and find out why groundwater is an important part of the water cycle.

  • Join us for an in-person tour of the geophysics labs at the University of Alberta, with special access to the paleomagnetism and rock magnetism labs!

    You’ll learn more about geophysics surveys and equipment, Earth’s magnetic field, rock and soil samples, and more.
